Photographer in Didcot
Didcot gets called a commuter town, but for photography it is quietly brilliant: minutes from some of the best countryside light in Oxfordshire, with parks inside the town that work beautifully for family sessions. Most of my Didcot clients are families who want photographs that feel like their real life, not a studio version of it.
A session here usually starts in a park or on a favourite walk, ends with everyone warmed up and laughing, and slots around nap times, school runs and football practice. Bring the pushchair, bring the dog. That is the point.
Where we could shoot
Favourite spots around Didcot
Ladygrove Park
Didcot's green lung: lakes, willow trees and wide paths. Soft evening light through the willows makes lovely, unfussy family portraits.
Didcot Railway Centre
Steam, signals and vintage carriages. A brilliant backdrop for something different: children who love trains, or a couple shoot with real character.
The Wittenham Clumps, minutes away
The twin wooded hills above the Thames are one of Oxfordshire's great viewpoints. A short drive from Didcot for big-sky golden hour shoots overlooking the whole valley.
