Photographer in Oxford
Oxford hands a photographer golden stone, cloistered lanes and a skyline of spires, and then adds meadows bigger than some villages ten minutes from the centre. Few cities give you formal grandeur and wild, open light in the same hour.
I photograph graduations, proposals, family visits and weddings across the city, timed and planned so we are never fighting the crowds: early light in the lanes, golden hour on the meadows, and the famous views without a coach party in the background.
Where we could shoot
Favourite spots around Oxford
Port Meadow
Ancient common land where the Thames spreads out under enormous skies, complete with free-roaming horses. Sunset here looks unreal, and it is ten minutes from the city centre.
Christ Church Meadow
The classic Oxford frame: the cathedral and college front rising behind wildflower meadow. Elegant, timeless and perfect for graduation and family portraits.
The lanes and the Bridge of Sighs
Radcliffe Square, Queen's Lane and the covered passages. Early morning sessions here get the honey-coloured stone to ourselves.
